【摘要】:Therearethreetypesofolefinicgroupspresentinsufficientconcentrationstowarrantconsideration,oneormoreofwhichcannormallybefoundinanypolyethylene(4).Thethreetypesare:trans-vinylene,R-CH=CH-Rx2032;,sometimesreferredtoastransinternalunsaturation;vinylideneorpendentmethylene,RRx2032;C=CH2;andvinylunsaturation,R-CH=CH2,alsoreferredtoasterminalunsaturation.Thetypeandquantityofthesegroupscaninfluencethechemicalandphysicalpropertiesoftheresin.Informationconcerningtheirpresencemayalsobeusedtocharacterizeoridentifyunknownresinsorblendsofresins.Vinylideneunsaturationrepresentsthemajorportionoftheunsaturationpresentinmostlow-densitypolyethylenes.Infraredspectroscopycanbeusedforthedeterminationofunsaturationinpolyethylene(1,3,5).ThevaluesdeterminedbyinfraredagreewiththosedeterminedbyIC1uptake(5).1.1Thistestmethodisapplicabletoalltypesofpolyethylenes,thoseethyleneplasticsconsistingofethyleneand-olefincopolymerslongerthanpropylene,andblendsoftheaboveinanyratio.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsstatementsaregiveninSection8.Note18212;ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.
